Conference Highlights from DDW 2014
Members of the CARE Gastroenterology and Liver Disease Faculties recently met at the annual DDW (Digestive Disease Week) 2014 conference held in Chicago, IL on May 3rd-6th 2014. The CARE Education Program at DDW 2014 was held with trainees and community gastroenterologists/ hepatologists from across Canada and covered various topics in gastroenterology as well as liver disease.
The CARE Conference Report from DDW 2014, augmented with content from EASL 2014, provides compelling abstracts and stories presented at these conferences, as well as an overview of where we have progressed and where research is heading.
The first CARE Interactive Liver Disease Training Session - Focus on HCV, led by CARE Liver Disease Faculty members Drs. Hemant Shah and Rob Myers, took place prior to the CARE Education Program at DDW 2014 on Saturday, May 3rd 2014. This session was well attended by trainees and community gastroenterologists that have an interest/focus in hepatology. The focus of the session was on the assessment and treatment of HCV.
